Trials and Tribulation

| July 6, 2011

As a Christian expect to face trials and tribulation in life, especially in this generation as the world grows more wicked each day. Don’t let them get you down, but rejoice when you go through them for you will come out a stronger, more mature servant of God, ready to take care of business. For God allows us to go through trials and tribulation in order to purge us, purify us, and prepare us for His service.

As it is written:

For Thou, O God, hast proved us: Thou hast tried us, as silver is tried…We went through fire and through water: But Thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. –Psalms 66:10-12

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, ‘It is My People:’ and they shall say, ‘The LORD is my God.’ –Zechariah 13:9

So when the heat of this wicked generation gets to you, or life deals you a rough hand, just realize that you are being refined into a precious, valuable gem in our Heavenly Father’s eyes. You are somebody!

I know some of you may be going through rough times in your life right now and you may be wondering, “What did I do to deserve this?” Nothing, unless you are suffering from bad decisions you made. It may just be that God is conditioning you so that He can use you as a witness against the false messiah when he appears (Mark 13, Matthew 24, Luke 21).

Which brings to mind a story from when I was in Army Basic Training. Many times after doing push-ups or being corrected for something, our drill sergeant used to make us stand at attention and say “Thank you drill sergeant for conditioning my mind and my body, please feel free to do so at any time!” Then he would reply, “I will.”

Boy I used to hate doing that. But today when I look back at it I love it and understand it, for it was the tough training that made us into soldiers. If the training was easy, and we were never conditioned to face hardships, we would not have been prepared mentally or physically for the trials and tribulations of war. So it is when fighting this spiritual war.

You will not survive unless you are trained and conditioned for what’s about to come. So thank God when you have the opportunity to overcome hardships and thank Him for making you into a stronger more able warrior for the truth.

Jesus prepared His disciples mentally and spiritually for the trials and tribulations that they would face.

In one instance He brought His disciples with Him out to sea on a ship:

And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us: we perish.”

And He saith unto them, “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?” Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. –Matthew 8:24-26

Jesus knew that this storm was going to be there for He had it all planned out. The lesson He wanted to impress upon His disciples was that rough times will come. At times life may seem scary, but you can overcome your fears by faith.

So when the storms of tribulation come your way, never forget that Christ is in your boat and will never allow you to drown, if you have the faith to press on through the storm.

Beloved your people need you to stand the gap for them against evil for they are not strong enough to do so. They are too busy trying to find a way to escape tribulation by believing in false hopes such as the rapture theory. But you are a hardened seasoned servant ready for battle, so embrace the challenges we face in this generation and be a Christian Overcomer!

God Bless,
